We are now 16 days past the massive earthquake that struck the country of Haiti. For 16 days, search and rescue teams have been digging through the debris, desperately trying to find anyone that might still be alive. Obviously, as time has gone on, the chances of finding anyone still alive have grown very slim. Most medical experts agree that humans cannot survive more than 72 hours without water; but yesterday, a 16 year old girl shocked everyone.
15 days past the quake, or 360 hours, a French search and rescue team pulled a very weak, but alive, Darlene Etienne out from under a collapsed home near St. Gerard University.
